To provide supplemental education to students living in financially distressed cities, and help them achieve their best potential in education.
"Now is our Time. This is our Place to Give Back”
Detroit Education Society (DES) (also known as Detroit Indians) is a 501–c3 – IRS registered nonprofit organization founded by few Metro-Detroit based professionals from India in 2013, with a primary goal of promoting education in the City of Detroit. Our mission is to provide supplemental education to students living in financially distressed cities, and help them achieve their best potential in education. We hope to make a meaningful impact and give back to the society, by offering one on one tutoring to Detroit Public School students.
Currently we have implemented our program at Carleton Elementary School, Kornerstone Charter Schools, Health & Technology High-school . Our vision of “Each One-Teach One” uses IT-technology for a 1:1 online tutoring in STEM (Math, Science) & English by high school students. Since Fall 2017 DES has been providing Prep-Classes in ACT/SAT for DPS High-School students. The convenient model of online-tutoring from home, office and school is the key to past 6-year success in expansion of this Educational program.
